Summary:The Christology of Martin Chemnitz (1522-1586) represents a milestone in the history of Lutheran theology. Powerful action it has become especially through its influence on the Formula of Concord (1577), is one of the main authors of Chemnitz. Hendrik Klinge opens in its historical significance and its relevance to the current Systmatische theology. This goal is their location within the Christological debates of the late sixteenth century, and the detailed reconstruction along the classical topoi of Christology. Blade clearly shows that Chemnitz 'Christology is characterized by a strong anti-speculative impetus and focus soteriologically. Their importance consists essentially in a more dynamic Christological central statements as reflected primarily in Chemnitz 'doctrine of the ubiquity of Jesus Christ. The "second Martin" the Lutheran Church succeeds as to pave a via media between the Christological designs Luther and Melanchthon. Sound alike linguistic and experiential theology refers Chemnitz 'christology beyond their time. In a last step blade therefore presents lines of continuity between the "old Protestant" thinkers Chemnitz and selected representatives of the so-called "Protestantism", so as to provide a contribution to reconciliation between neo-orthodox and radical-liberal approaches in contemporary theology.
