Summary:Damayanti, a wealthy patron of the arts is hosting a big party in honor of Diwakar Barve, who has just received the Government of India, Literary Award. Attendees include many prominent persons in the industry, actors and also up-and-coming writers. The one glaring absentee is Amrit - a talented writer who had abandoned his burgeoning career to campaign against the exploitation of the tribal people. As the party-goers discuss a gamut of topics including morality and social causes, it becomes clear that each attendee is filled with his or her own insecurity. And some surprising news that is shared, haunts them long after the party is over. Based on a Marathi play by Mahesh Elkunchwar. Awards/Festivals: Best Supporting Actress, National Film Awards, India; Tokyo Film Festival; Asia Pacific Film Festival.
