Know ye, that by virtue of authority derived from His late Majesty Charles the Second, of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, King, by his letters patents bearing date the three and twentieth day of April, in the fourteenth year of his reign; and by and with the advice and consent of the Council and Representatives of this colony in General Court assembled, I have assigned you, and every of you, jointly and severally to keep the peace within the County of [blank] ...
