To the sheriff of the county of [blank] or his deputy, or either of the constables of the town of [blank] within said county, Greeting; Whereas [blank] on the [blank] day of [blank] 17[blank] before me [blank] Esq; one of his Majesty's justices of the peace for [blank] County recovered judgment against [blank] for the sum of [blank] debt; and for the sum of [blank] costs of suit, as appears of record: whereof execution remains to be done. These are therefore in his Majesty's name, to command you, that of the money of the said [blank] or of his goods, or chattles, within your precincts, you cause to be levied and (the same being disposed of as the law directs) paid and satisfied unto the said [blank] the aforesaid sums, being [blank] in the whole, with one shilling lawful money, more for this writ, together with your own fees. ... Hereof fail not, and to make due return of this writ, with your doings thereon, within sixty days next coming.
