"The field research of the territory of Coahuila by two of us was nearly complete with only a few places without visiting. 60 thousand photographs were taken in a long period of 30 years. (...) Consultation work has developed over 25 years in municipal archives of Coahuila as well as in parish archives, but repositories in Mexico, Rome, Seville, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Mazapil, Madrid, Berkley, Austin, San Antonio, and other places were consulted" (Our translation)-pages 15-16.
