Description
Summary:Lumbini has flourished for centuries as one of the world's most spiritual and sacred places, a rich archaeological site and place of pilgrimage for Buddhists worldwide. While a number of books have been published on Lumbini, there has not yet been a comprehensive fine-art book on this sacred archaeological and pilgrimage site. The purpose of the current book, co-published with UNESCO, is to showcase the uniqueness of the World Heritage property of Lumbini and its surroundings through 200 photographs taken by eight photographers. The texts have been edited in four languages: English, Chinese, French and Nepali.
