Summary:Analyzes selected changes that House and Senate versions of S. 250 would make to P.L. 105-332, the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998, which provides Federal support for vocational and technical education. Identifies key differences between the bills regarding changes to relevant definitions, authorizations and reservations, State allotment formulas and within-State allocation, the Tech-Prep program, national programs, occupational and employment information, and accountability requirements. Examines State and local plans and uses of funds.
