(FPI), also known as UNICOR, a Government corporation that provides job training and employment to inmates in Federal prisons. Discusses impact of UNICOR on the Federal prison system and society, including effects of FPI on recidivism rates; and reviews Administration and Congressional efforts to reform FPI. Summarizes relevant 110th Congress legislation, and comments on issues of concern about FPI, including customer satisfaction.
