Summary:A man inherits a rooming house in the best part of Munich unexpectedly, gives up his job as an archivist, and goes to install himself in one of the empty apartments in the house. Everything would be fine, except that the previous inhabitant, a poet, disappeared tracelessly, but continues to receive odd mail. The archivist starts to investigate, reading the letters, and trying to understand the poetry until, a women appears on the doorstep, taking him for the departed poet and accusing him of plagiarism.
