Description
Summary:A summary of current knowledge on pediatric AIDS (the 9th leading cause of death for children in the US between the ages of one and four years in 1987). The increase in the numbers of children with AIDS is similar to the 36% increase in cases attributable to heterosexual transmission between 1988 and 1989. In response to the urgency of the problem, this book was produced on a schedule faster than many journals can publish articles; the contributors were obviously wholly committed to the task of preparing a comprehensive reference that presents what is known and draws attention to the many information deficits.
