Summary:That Time in Foreign was born out of a series held in 2006 at The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona. Seventeen presenters traced their experiences as migrants from Jamaica and other Caribbean countries destined mainly for the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Canada as well as to other countries. The presenters delineated their time abroad for periods ranging from 5-35 years or more with the experiences of loss, joy, bereavement, success, achievement and nostalgia. Ten of these presentations are featured in this book.
