Summary:Few areas of psychology have shown as remarkable a growth in such a short period of time as clinical neuropsychology. The chapters in this volume describe empirical and theoretical advances--and highlight some of the controversies--in clinical neuropsychology.
Thus, although the contributors to this volume address substantive topics that are legitimately subsumed under the rubric of neuropsychology, the chapters have little overlap. ... Each author has focused upon different salient questions in today's neuropsychology and uses his or her own research questions to frame the answers to these questions. Inevitably, however, in one form or another, the authors deal with what is perhaps the oldest, most debated, and most important issue in neuropsychology--localization of function.
