Included with each chapter are images demonstrating the pathology of the most common and important diseases, especially patterns of organ rejection and related entities or mimickers. Examples of classic disease processes are provided, as well as atypical presentations that may highlight and prevent diagnostic pitfalls. A comprehensive explanation of the immunogenetics of transplant rejection is included, enabling the general pathologist to become familiar with the most important aspects of serologic testing in this patient population.
