Summary: | Exhibition dedicated to Gastón Pérsico (Buenos Aires, 1972), where the centerpiece, which gives title to the project, consists of an audio installation in which three voices recite the lyrics of songs from "Housemusic DJ-set"©, translated to Spanish, with no music. The exhibition is accompanied by two printed publications. Conceived as constituent works of "La música es mi casa", these books incorporate other communicative experiences and perception times, extending the duration and space of the exhibition. The book "La música es mi casa" includes the translations of the music lyrics in the audio installation of the same name, presented as a book of poems that explores the visual possibility of rhythm and musicality in the repetition of the printed word. The other book "La música es mi casa. Featuring", comprises a series of readings and approaches to the various sides of Pérsico's work. Written especially for this publication, the texts of Mariano Mayer, Pablo Schanton, María Salgado and Marina Zuccon reflect on music, poetry, architecture and sound, forms of perception, disc culture and sound communication, among others. It includes also the text of a lecture by Yves Bonnefoy on Mallarmé and the music, selected by the artist as a reading, which complements and extends the proposal of this work.
