Summary:Marketing entrepreneur and music manager Bunnie Jackson-Ransom was born on November 16, 1940 in Louisburg, North Carolina. She graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina College in Durham, North Carolina with her B.S. degree in business in 1961. She received her M.S. degree in business from North Carolina Central University in 1969. Jackson-Ransom married Maynard Jackson in 1965 who became the first black mayor of Atlanta in 1973. They divorced in 1976. In 1979, she married Raymond Ransom. Jackson-Ransom owned and operated Airport Amusement Concessions at Hartsfield International Airport while serving as president of Atlanta Artists Management where she managed musical groups like The SOS Band and CAMEO. She worked as an instructor at Georgia State University from 1981 to 1990. Jackson-Ransom was president of firstClass, Inc., a company she founded in 1975 that specialized in marketing, community affairs and public relations. Her clientele included the Burger King Corporation.
