Primo graduated from Indiana University in 1977 and earned his MBA from Harvard University in 1979 when he started working for Citicorps Real Estate, specializing in real estate lending. In 1988, Primo left Citicorps to form Quintin Primo and Company, an investment banking firm. Despite the failure of this venture, he partnered with Daryl Carter and formed CAPRI Capital, which managed over seven billion dollars in assets.
