|a Investment banker Quintin Primo III was born in 1955 in Rochester, New York. After his father's appointment as bishop in the Episcopal Church, the family moved to Chicago. Primo graduated from Indiana University in 1977 and earned his MBA from Harvard University in 1979 when he started working for Citicorps Real Estate, specializing in real estate lending. In 1988, Primo left Citicorps to form Quintin Primo and Company, an investment banking firm. Despite the failure of this venture, he partnered with Daryl Carter and formed CAPRI Capital, which managed over seven billion dollars in assets. Primo has served on the board of the Chicago Sinfonietta, the Chicago Community Trust and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Advisory Board, among other organizations. He and his wife, Diane, lived in Chicago with their two children, Francesca and Quintin Primo IV. Primo wrote a book about his father, The Making of a Black Bishop.
