Summary:Banking executive Willard "Chuck" Lewis was born April 9, 1961 in Lagrange, Georgia. He graduated from high school in 1979 and began his career at Citizens Trust Bank while completing a dual degree in banking and finance at Morehouse College in 1983. He spent seven years in various positions including executive vice president, COO and CFO at First Southern Bank of Lithonia, Georgia. Upon its merger in 1990, Lewis rejoined Citizens Trust Bank and rose to positions of senior executive vice president and COO. He served as secretary of the board of the bank and the secretary/treasurer of the board of the bank's parent company Citizens Bancshares Corporation. Lewis worked at every level of community banking during his twenty-two years in the business. In June of 2005, Lewis resigned from Citizens Trust Bank to found One Georgia Bank. Under Lewis' leadership, the bank capitalized with $24.2 million and over 400 shareholders.
