Summary:Television producer Hamilton Cloud was born November 30, 1952 in Los Angeles, California. He earned his B.A. degree from Yale University. He worked in radio programming in Los Angeles for fifteen years, then shifted to television where he produced children's and public affairs programs. In 1978, he joined the programming of NBC. In 1982, he was promoted to vice president of Current Comedy programs, supervising weekly production of comedy series, including Cheers and Family Ties. After starting Imaginary Entertainment, his own production company, Cloud produced the 19th Annual NAACP Image Awards in 1987. It was the first time that the show was broadcast on a national television network. In 1990, Cloud led programming development for Playboy Entertainment Group until he was named the vice president of Quincy Jones/David Salzman Entertainment in 1993. He then became senior vice-president of development for Letnom Productions in 1996, producing programs such as The Montel Williams Show.
