Summary: | Sprinter and fitness entrepreneur Rochelle Stevens was born on September 8, 1966, in Memphis, Tennessee. She earned her B.S. degree from Morgan State University and her M.S. degree from Columbus University. With her mother as her coach, Stevens qualified for the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain in 1992, and won the silver medal in the women's 4x400 meter relay race, coming in sixth in the solo 400 meter race. At the next Olympic Games, in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1996, Stevens competed in the women's 4x400 meter race, winning the gold medal. Upon returning to Memphis, Stevens founded the Rochelle Stevens Health and Wellness Spa. She also started and sponsored the Rochelle Stevens International Track Invitational Meet to expose high school students to college. Stevens worked as a spokeswoman and motivational speaker for many Fortune 500 companies.
