Summary:Lawyer Kenneth G. Standard was born in New York City on September 4, 1936. Receiving his A.B. degree, then his LL.B. degree from Harvard University in 1962, he became an attorney with the Bristol-Myers pharmaceutical company in 1967. As the division's vice president by 1970, he received his LL.M. degree from New York University's School of Law in 1971. In 1988, he began working for the Consolidated Edison Company as assistant general counsel for labor relations. In 1999, Standard joined the firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, serving as special counsel. Standard joined the law firm of Epstein, Becker & Green in its National Labor & Employment Practice in 2004, and from 2004 to 2005, he served as president of the New York State Bar Association. Standard received the American Bar Association's Lifetime Achievement Award for Diversity, and in 2013 was elected a fellow by the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
