| Summary: | Corporate executive Benaree "Bennie" Pratt Wiley was born in Washington, D.C. on May 13, 1946. Raised by her grandmother and an aunt, Wiley earned her B.A. degree in marketing from Howard University before attending Harvard University, where she earned her M.B.A. degree. Her sister, Sharon Pratt, was mayor of Washington, DC. Wiley moved into the world of consulting, working with various urban research firms before becoming president and CEO of The Partnership, Inc., in Boston, Massachusetts in 1991. Since 1987, The Partnership has worked to help African Americans better position themselves within the corporate world of Boston and to provide guidance and opportunities. During her tenure, Wiley helped more than 1,300 African Americans integrate themselves into Boston's corporate culture. Wiley was active in the Boston community, as well, having served on the board of directors of several organizations. In 2003, Boston Magazine selected her as one of Boston's most powerful women. She married attorney Fletcher "Flash" Wiley.
