|a Telecommunications chief executive David Grain was born in 1962 in New York City. He attended Martha's Vineyard Regional High School and graduated from College of the Holy Cross in 1984. Grain earned his M.B.A. degree from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration in 1989. He spent a little over a decade on Wall Street working for Drexel Burnham Lambert and Morgan Stanley, where he focused on telecommunications, media and technology companies. In 2000, Grain left to work as senior vice president for the New England region of AT&T Broadband Corp., the third largest cable television cluster in the country at the time. He was then selected as president of Global Signal, Inc. and led the company out of bankruptcy. In 2006, Grain founded Grain Communications Group, Inc., which built, owned and operated wireless communications. The following year he founded Grain Management, LLC, investing in the wireless communications sector.
