Summary:Entrepreneur Penelope Stewart was born on December 18, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee, and enrolled at the University of Wisconsin but did not finish her degree. Stewart founded Ambiance Hair Salon in 1981, serving as owner and "artist" until 1997, when she became a sales manager for All Pro Broadcasting. Stewart continued her education, eventually earning her B.A. degree in business from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee in 2003. After earning her degree, Stewart served as community outreach manager for BloodCenter of Wisconsin until 2013, where she oversaw the Marrow Donor Program. She left the BloodCenter in 2014, when she joined Columbia St. Mary's Hospital as community outreach coordinator. Stewart received numerous awards, such as The Milwaukee Times Black Excellence Corporate Trailblazer Award, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Kappa Phi Chapter's Milwaukee Citizen of the Year award.
