Summary: | Author's account of his travels in China, his friendship with Chen Tong, and the making of the film The honey dress in 2014, which he adapted from the prologue to Nue (Éditions de Minuit, 2013). Since the early 2000s, I have traveled extensively in China, traveling to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha, Nanjing, Kunming and Lijiang. Nothing would have been possible without Chen Tong, my Chinese editor. The first time I met Chen Tong in Brussels in 1999, I still knew almost nothing about him and his multiple activities, as an editor, bookseller, artist, exhibition curator and professor at the Beaux-Arts . This book is the evocation of our friendship and the shooting of my film The Honey Dress in the heart of China today.--Translation of back cover by Les Éditions de Minuit.
