Summary:Double Movement is the title of a project which has been realised in the SchauFenster (Show Case), Berlin. What is a double movement? When an apple seed on the floor can endanger the whole decor of the scene. The title refers to the artists' experience in the studio. How is it that while in the process of painting, in the making of a picture, there is always a cancellation of what is made, as if the work had to be cancelled or crossed out in order to begin? This contrary movement is repeating itself in the back and forth process, between positing and cancellation. Patches, blotches, planes and lines remain, overlapping each other and cancelling each other out.
