Summary: | Features three of Steve Reich's most iconic compositions. Sextet utilizes hypnotic repetitions, which interweave and overlap creating a complex and compelling aural landscape. Clapping Music composed in 1972 was written after Reich experienced a strong desire to write music for no other instrument than the human body. Finally, Music for Pieces of Wood utilizes claves, and despite utilizing no amplification, is one of the loudest pieces that Reich has recorded.
