Summary: | The exhibition in MACRO is one of the largest groupings of works exhibited in one place by Canadian artists, Janet Cardiff (Brussels, Ontario 1957) and George Bures Miller (Vegreville, Alberta 1960) recognized internationally for their particular and emblematic art based on a broad study of sound as a medium and component of their projects. The use they make of the narrative and the sound effects are translated into sensory works that lead to different moods playing with the surprise factor. Technology is also a fundamental part of his works, but used as a means to obtain personal objectives and experiences creating a surprising and disturbing reality that simulates the very nature of the space and includes unexpected elements of sound, light and visual character. This is the artists' first exhibition in Mexico, and comprises nine major works created between 2001 and 2015. |
