This project explores cross-cultural friendships and changes in Mexico over the last 30 years. By focusing on specific people in Sonora, Mexico, the photographs highlight the challenges and beauty of life just south of the border. They invite dialogue between Mexico and the U.S. Viewers on both sides of the border may recognize something of themselves in the pictures, and/or learn about a people and lifestyle adjacent to their own.
