A kötet elsődleges célja az, hogy a magyar olvasó előtt mindeddig ismeretlen dokumentumok segítségével bemutassa Románia Erdély megszerzéséért 1918-1920 között vívott küzdelmét, ez irányú politikai, diplomáciai és katonai lépéseit. A közel száz, többségében román nyelvű irat mindegyike első ízben olvasható magyar fordításban. A dokumentumok betekintést nyújtanak a korszak román politikai és katonai elitjének mentalitásába, nem egy esetben a "főszereplők" személyes motivációira is fény derűl. Megtudhatjuk, miként foglalta el a román hadsereg Erdélyt, hogyan vonult be 1919 augusztusában Budapestre, és az is kiderül, milyen diplomáciai lépéseket tett a román kormány annak érdekében, hogy az első világháborút lezáró párizsi békekonferencia szentesítse a katonailag már megszállt Erdély Romániához csatolását. |c Back cover | ||
