Internet commerce presents marketers with two major challenges: how to stand out in an increasingly crowded marketplace and how to attract new customers. This easy-to-read primer addresses these major topics. Meyerson, a business development/marketing professional, identified and interviewed 24 highly successful e-commerce practitioners who have addressed some aspect of the above two challenges in their e-commerce operations. He relates their experiences and strategies in these interviews, devoting a chapter to each practitioner. This approach produces a cohesive, well-designed template that allows the reader easy comparisons and the ability to flip back and forth between the various perspectives offered. This book is an exploration of the "now" in online marketing. E-commerce is projected to continue to grow rapidly, and e-commerce technology use will no doubt evolve just as rapidly. This volume might prove to be the first edition of a continuing series that tracks these developments for the interested reader. ^BSumming Up: Recommended.
