Summary: | 1840 Committee on State Lands' report regarding the Land Agent's account connected with the civil posse under his command. The committee reviewed how much money was paid, to whom, and for what purposes and under what authority. Various financial statements and weekly Land Agent reports were considered, and the committee noted that the appropriateness of certain disbursements were dependent on the care of subordinate agents. The bills were considered somewhat high, although the committee did consider circumstances. |
