Summary: | The authors use a systems approach to examine contemporary international migration and other types of population flows between countries. They investigate the effect of those flows on both sending and receiving countries in the areas of economic, political, and social links of the countries concerned. This work includes a set of comparative case studies as well of theoretical chapters which will be of interest to demographers, sociologists, economists, social historians, as well as policymakers.
