|a Pt. 1 (p. 21-150) deals with Jewish life in Radom in the interwar period. In 1931 there were ca. 25,000 Jews in the town, about 30% of the population. Pp. 143-150 relate to antisemitism in this period. Pt. 2 (p. 151-252) deals with the Holocaust period and the anti-Jewish measures of the Nazis. In 1939 Radom became part of the General Government. Describes life in the two ghettos founded in April 1941, and the activities of the Judenrat. The liquidation of the ghettos began in August 1942. Ca. 18,000 Jews were deported to Treblinka. Ca. 3,000 remained in the town to work in the labor camps. Pt. 3 (p. 253-278) deals with the period between 1945-50. In 1945 there were ca. 400 Jews living in Radom. Violent antisemitic incidents in the town (four Jews were killed there in August 1945 by Poles) and the pogrom in Kielce in 1946 caused most of the Jews to leave Poland.
