Annette and her estranged husband, Pee Wee, are still fooling around even though they remain separated a year after Annette's infidelity. Between their occasional trysts, they both explore other relationships. Soon, Pee Wee's ex-lover discovers that she is pregnant. This prompts Annette to make some difficult decisions about the future of their marriage. The rising animosity between the pair, coupled with the antics of their friend Rhoda and her family, provide such a distraction that they are both blindsided by the danger that threatens their daughter, Charlotte. VERDICT This sixth and final book of Monroe's popular God series (God Ain't Through Yet; God Ain't Blind) is as solid as the previous titles. Her use of humor to depict ordinary people with complex and messy lives will keep readers glued to each and every page.-Lisa Jones, Birmingham P.L., AL (c) Copyright 2012.
