Summary:	"Cover title: My own picture book. With engravings. By a friend to youth. According to extant Cincinnati directories, the firm of Truman and Smith was located at 150 Main St. between 1834 and at least 1842. Some wood engravings signed by Alexander Anderson; see Jane Pomeroy, Alexander Anderson (2005), entry 2023 describing an edition issued by William T. Truman in 1844. "Children's books. Truman & Smith, booksellers .. are extensively engaged in publishing children's books. ... varying in prices, from one cent to twenty-five cents each. ..."--p. [4] of wrapper."
