Summary:The retrospective exhibition of Rafael Cauduro (Mexico City, 1950 - 2022) gathered 135 works (comprising murals, large format works, drawing, glass, giclées (art digital prints), sculptures , caricatures and sketches), that represent five decades of his artistic career. Throughout six exhibition sections, the works ranged from his first works that are caricatures of the seventies, to works dated in 2018, such as "El retablo de los éxtasis", the series "Discapacidad" and individual pieces resulting from his most important work, the mural "Siete crímenes mayores" which adorn the walls of the Supreme Court of Justice of Mexico (SCJN). Rafael Cauduro, is considered one of the most important exponents of contemporary Mexican art, with international recognition. His art reflects his acute social commitment, the boundaries between the sacred and the profane or between life and death, youth and middle age; catharsis, moments of intense introspection and his most intimate obsessions: the female body.
