Summary:	200 Jahre nach dem Erlass des Edikts, betreffend die bürgerlichen Verhältnisse der Juden in dem preußischen Staate beleuchten dreizehn Beiträge unter Verwendung bisher nicht ausgewerteter Quellen dieses Emanzipationsmodell. Ausgehend von ihrer Situation zur Zeit Friedrichs II. wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche Möglichkeiten das Edikt für die Lage der Juden mit sich brachte und welche Grenzen es nach wie vor gab. Auch wird der Blick auf andere Territorien gelenkt, in denen ebenfalls über Emanzipation diskutiert worden ist.
