Jahrhundert verfasste ein anonymer Autor das fiktive Protokoll eines Religionsgesprächs zwischen dem Erzbischof Gregentios und dem jüdischen Schriftgelehrten Herban und bettete es in eine nach älteren Quellen gearbeitete Vita seines Helden ein, die ihn zum Missionar im Jemen der vorislamischen Zeit macht. Diese Texte werden von Albrecht Berger untersucht, kritisch ediert und übersetzt. Pluspunkte Erstedition eines großen Teils der vorliegenden Texte kritische Edition unter Einbeziehung aller bekannten, auch neu bekannt gewordenen Handschriften.
