Summary:Report of the Committee on Mines and Mining Interests regarding the memorial of citizens of San Francisco which opposed the acts limiting the immigration of Chinese and imposing a tax on them. The committee found this petition was disloyal and an insult of the legislature. The memorial is addressed to the House of Representatives of the State of California and is signed by Alsop & Co., and others. It is dated Feb. 26, 1856. The report is addressed to Mr. Speaker and is signed by members by of the Committee on Mines and Mining Interests.
