Summary: | The first lecture in a series of sinus augmentation will describe the evidence in the literature, the clinical techniques and when a simplified approach like the osteotome technique is applicable. The lateral window technique will be emphasized in combination with implant placement and the anatomical and diagnostic parameters for simultaneous implant placement. The discussion of autograft versus bone fillers will be started and completed in the second lecture. Complications and medications used for sinus augmentation will be presented. |
