Summary: | Counseling LGBTQI+ students gets to the heart of what school counseling is: serving the needs of marginalized youth and making more possible opportunities for a future life that youth might not dare to dream. In this video, viewers will a) increase self-awareness and reflective practice with respect to working with LGBTQI+ youth, b) expand knowledge about LGBTQI+ youth, their families, friends, and allies, as well as their schools and communities, and c) develop specific skills, strategies, and frameworks to support working with LGBTQI+ youth in schools. |
