Creeper, : a first rate full blooded English race horse, the property of Gen. Henry Champion, & co. of Colchester, Connecticut, purchased in England by Capt. Abraham Skinner, of East-Hartford, in Connecticut, whose judgment in horses is well known to be as good as any man's in America: he went to England on purpose to purchase horses, and selected Creeper out of the many fine horses which he saw, as being one of the first horses in England, for blood, built, and figure; and shipped him for America: he was landed at New-York on the 13th of May, 1796. He will stand at the stable of the subscriber, half a mile south of the seat of the late Brigadier Ruggles, in Hardwick, County of Worcester, and will cover mares, during the season, at twelve dollars each, or a sure colt may be agreed for. Creeper is a beautiful bay, rising sixteen hands high, 13 years old this grass, ...
