| Summary: | Based on the classic crime novels by Margery Allingham, this 1930s detective drama stars Peter Davison as the enigmatic sleuth Albert Campion. Aided by his faithful companion Magersfontein Lugg, the duo try to prevent the theft of a priceless artefact and investigate a family disappearance for an old friend. The mysterious murder of a man who was already meant to be dead and the death of an artist also call on all of Campion's detective skills. Albert Campion discovers that an old school friend, whose funeral he attended months ago, might not be dead after all. Coincidentally, he receives an urgent plea from an old flame to solve another mysterious murder. Could the two cases be connected?
