Summary: | This report presents evidence for a unique Mississippian ritual complex located on the outskirts of Cahokia, complete with household temple, sweat house, men's house, dance ground, food preparation areas, and with specialized artifacts such as stone human figurines, artifact caches, and exotic plant remains. This site also yielded a small Oneota occupation that represents the type site for the Bold Counselor complex in this area. |
