Summary: | An atlas presenting relevant facial anatomy from a surgical point of view, i.e. presenting structures as seen at the operating table. The subjects covered are selective, reflecting the authors' judgments of relative importance. The illustrations, which depict individuals of both sexes and various ages and races (in pointed contrast to the norm), are not only aesthetically pleasing and accurate, but use color and design in innovative ways to show complex relationships. Clinical examples and cadaver dissections supplement the illustrations and demonstrate specific anatomic points. A selected list of references and readings, grouped by topic, appears at the end of the volume. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
