Sensation and perception are areas in which there are a number of levels of exploration. Norwich uses mathematics rather than a personal, experimental approach to explore the concept of perceptual relativity. He has developed a mathematical structure that has been tested with comparisons to empirical research in the areas of perception. His ideas are interesting mathematically and may provide insight into perception. Of interest to mathematicians as well as sensory physiologists/psychologists, the book is definitely at an advanced level and requires comfort with a minimum of basic calculus and statistics.
