Summary:Freya Stark was a British explorer and travel writer. She was one of the first outsiders to travel through the southern Arabian deserts. She wrote more than two dozen books on her travels in the Middle East and Afghanistan, as well as several autobiographic works. This covers her life from 1933-1939 and includes letters as well as her impressions during her travels of this time, mostly in South Arabia.
