Publication in Madras was suspended with the number for Dec. 1929 (v. 51, no. 3) From Jan. to Dec. 1930, the Theosophist was published in Hollywood, Calif., the Jan. number being called v. 51, no. 4, and continuing the paging of the Madras Theosophist.
Beginning with v. 3, Oct. 1881, the Theosophist includes a monthly supplement, separately paged. During 1884 this supplement forms a separate publication, entitled: Journal of the Theosophical society.
Beginning with v. 7 the Theosophist includes the "Official report (called later 'General report') of the [10th]- convention and aniversary of the Theosophical society." In v. 7-9 these reports form the January supplements.
From Oct. to Dec. 1930, a bulletin called the Adyar theosophist (the official publication of the Theosophical society, replacing the Adyar bulletin) was published in Madras and called v. 52, no. 1-3. With Jan. 1931 (v. 52, no. 4) the regular publication of the Theosophist was resumed in Madras.
