Description
Summary:This book, first published in 1880, is a vividly written record of travel and discovery on the island of Borneo. Little seems to have escaped Burbidge's eye during his travels through Sarawak, Labuan, and the north of Borneo to Sulu. Although the main object of his journey was the collection of plants, he is equally concerned with describing his encounters with the people he met along the way and their mode of life.
